Position Summary:
The Marketing Assistant will be working closely with our marketing team to develop and implement marketing plans and strategies for our brands. As a successful hire, you will be tasked with helping identify marketing trends and opportunities for growth, as well as creating marketing materials such as advertisements, social media posts, email blasts and website blogs. You will be tracking the results of our ongoing campaigns and providing administrative support to our marketing and administrative teams. Preferably is accustomed to working in a blue-collar environment or has a general knowledge or interest in the plumbing or renovation/maintenance market.
Requirements:
Minimum High School diploma or GED certificate.
Associate or bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field preferred.
1-3 years’ experience in marketing or equivalent education.
Proven experience as a marketing assistant preferred.
Qualifications:
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships across the organization.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with script writing a plus.
A high level of attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
Familiarity with social media, social networking, email marketing and search engines.
Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Premier Pro.
Experience with digital photography and video editing preferred.
Experience with graphic design a plus.
Comfortable working in a blue-collar environment and understanding the unique needs of the industry.
Responsibilities:
Undertaking daily administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and coordination of the marketing department’s activities.
Support the marketing team in organizing various projects and events.
Update spreadsheets with statistical, financial, and non-financial information.
Collaborate with the marketing manager, internal teams, and partners on marketing strategies.
Help identify marketing trends and key opportunities for innovation.
Assist in the organizing of traditional or digital campaigns and track results to facilitate their success.
Prepare and deliver promotional presentations.
Compose and post online content on the company’s website and social media accounts.
Create marketing materials for use in advertisements and promotional announcements.
Communicate directly with clients and media reps and encourage trusting relationships.
Provide support to the marketing department and other departments as necessary.
Organize and manage marketing collateral.
Attend trade shows, job fairs and company events.
Maintain schedules for marketing materials.
Performs other duties as assigned.
